Comparing Yourself To Others

Being a successful authentic esports player

Comparing yourself to others won’t get you anywhere but down.

Sometimes we look at other players’ success or in-game achievements and start comparing ourselves to them.

It is human and natural, but is not an elevating performance mindset to have.

When we compare ourselves to others, we are really telling ourselves we are not good enough. We can absolutely admire others, learn from them, be inspired by them… but once we try to mimic them or doubt ourselves, we stop playing to our own strengths and lose our unique playstyle, which is where we truly thrive.

Your playstyle is a representation of you.

The way you are, your strengths, your uniqueness. You want to grow these things, not diminish them to match someone else. Only by playing your game, with your unique mindset, personality, calls, aiming style, movement, etc., will you achieve your greatest success. The world has millions of other players, but none like you. Your main goal is not trying to be perfect, but to become the best YOU that you can be.

Focus on you.

Remember that the grass only looks greener on the other side. Trust us - every player has their struggles no matter how they appear. The mindset we teach is that you're never really competing with anyone else. You’re only competing with what you are capable of. So take the pressure off your shoulders, buckle down & do the work out of passion. There's only 1 like you & you got this.
